　　When on vacation, some people prefer to participate in outdoor activities, such as hiking or swimming. Other people prefer to be less physically active on vacation. Which type of vacation do you prefer? Explain why.

　　Personally, I prefer vacations that are filled with outdoor activities.

　　The primary reason is that engaging in physical activities outdoors can be a great way to relieve pressure. What I mean is that, after long periods of study, outdoor activities can help me unwind and release destructive emotions like depression, sadness and even anger. And when I go back to my study, I can be more refreshed and energetic and increase my learning efficiency.

　　In addition, outdoor activities could also help me to connect with nature. For example, snorkeling in a tropical location allows me to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life. These experiences create memorable moments that make vacations truly special.

　　Point 1：History books should all be put on the second floor因为更方便;

　　Reason 1: 合并了以后会更不方便，因为书架摆地更紧密，对于需要do research and work的学生而言就不方便了，因为 they like having things spread apart。

　　Reason 2: 地下室光线不好，氛围比较gloomy;学生要去地下室拿东西啥的没事儿，但要是长时间待着学习，应该没人愿意。

　　例子：20世纪初，Eastern US建了一个house，这个house建在一个rocky, forested area with a small waterfall的地方，屋子底下有river flows under。房子本体大多由sand stone native to the area 建成，远观像是瀑布里的cliff。原本house was built as a vacation home，所以有several glass walls。人们在房子里面可以透过玻璃看到trees and water flowing under the house，这个感觉就很棒。

　　Lecture题材：Biology

　　主题: 2 ways the urban environment may affect plant growth 城市生活会影响植物生长的两种方式

　　Way 1：cities tend to be warmer than nearby areas outside the city —— 城市的温度更高;

　　eg. 全世界的大城市里面的树木，会比同一种类长在countryside的树木大25%。

　　Way 2：城市里的植物种子会更容易land in the available soil，这样就会更容易繁殖。

　　eg. 一种flowering plant，在乡下和城里都有，城里的品种会有更重的种子，不容易被风吹走。
