　　I'd like to share about a road trip I took from Shanghai to Xiamen about three years ago with my two university friends during our spring break. We rented a car and decided to drive the entire coastal route, which took us about 12 hours with stops.

　　We planned this journey because we wanted to visit Xiamen's beaches and try the famous local seafood, but more importantly, we thought a road trip would be more fun and give us freedom to stop wherever we wanted along the way. None of us had done such a long drive before, so it felt like a real adventure.

　　The journey was quite memorable. We took turns driving and created this amazing playlist that we sang along to for hours. We stopped at several small coastal towns we'd never heard of before, tried local snacks at roadside stalls, and even took a detour to see some ancient temples. Around hour eight, we were getting pretty tired and cranky, arguing about directions and whose turn it was to drive.

　　At first, I felt really excited and free - there's something special about being on the open road with your best friends. But as the hours passed, I started feeling exhausted and a bit car sick from all the winding coastal roads. However, when we finally arrived in Xiamen and saw the beautiful sunset over the ocean, all the fatigue melted away. Looking back, even the uncomfortable moments became funny stories we still laugh about today. It really strengthened our friendship.
