Yet,they themselves survive without apology, with instead, their simple claims and complex colors. (73C21) A.NO CHANGE B. apology, with, instead C. apology with instead D. apology with instead 解析:首先判断此题考逗号的用法,其次划线的部分有介词with,介词的后面应该加名词性的结构,所以可以把ACD三个选项排除,选B。 Over weeks and months, that stack becomes heavy, its weight a satisfying affirmation of my process. (72E57) A.NO CHANGE B.it’s weight is C.its weight is D.it’s weight To preserve the 43000-square-foot site, the architects designed concrete pillars that suspend the museum over the archaeological dig. Hay and On’s businesses prospered through the turn of the century, during the Great Depression, and beginning the 1940s. (73G10) A.NO CHANGE B.as it entered C.becoming D.into 解析:首先要排除A选项,逗号and是连接两个句子,as 也是引导从句的,所以错误。 此处是through, during, into三个介词短语的平行结构。

STEP 1:识别问题 最直接的推论题的问法,包含“建议”、“暗示”、“推断”这些词语: "According to the passage, we can reasonably infer..." "Based on the passage, it could be suggested that..." "Which of the following statements is best supported by the passage?" "The passage suggests that this primary problem..." "The author seems to imply that…" 还有一些间接的问法,如: "With which of the following statements would the author most likely agree?" "Which of the following sentences would the author most likely use to add additional support to paragraph three?" Passage 1: "This passage is adapted from the chapter “Personality Disorders” in Introduction to Psychology, edited by Rita L. Atkinson and Richard C. Atkinson (©1981 by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Inc.)."

1. The author uses the description of …; to make the point that… 2. The author uses the remark …; primarily as an example of: 例子题所对应的段落中一般会出现for example, such as, for instance, therefore等表示举例说明作用的短语。 Government is so technical that even career civil servants cannot explain what is happening. In 1978 I attended a seminar on federal estate and gift tax, where the Internal Revenue Service lawyers responsible for this area frankly confessed that they did not understand the Tax Reform Act of 1976. The author uses the description of the tax seminar in 1978 to make the point that some governmental issues are: A. so technical that not even career civil servants can understand them. B. so technical that only career civil servants can understand them. C. more technical than they used to be before the passage of the Tax Reform Act. D. too technical for anyone other than an Internal Revenue Service tax lawyer to understand. Government is so technical that even career civil servants cannot explain what is happening.
