When traveling in an unfamiliar place, some people prefer to use smartphones or other navigational devices to get around and find places. Others prefer to explore on their own and ask others for directions when necessary. Which do you prefer? Use specific details and examples to explain your preference.

I prefer to use smartphones to get around and find places.

First, cellphones are able to provide real-time information. Like if there is heavy traffic in the morning rush hour, or some roads are under construction, my phone will find the best routes that are faster, and the roads won’t turn out to be dead ends. This will save me a lot of trouble and help me save time.

Instead, if I ask local people, it will be difficult for me to understand them, especially in a foreign country like in Japan. I don’t speak the local language; how can I ask people for direction. We won’t be able to communicate. So, it won’t work even though I want to ask local people.

"Food Truck Friday" Spices Up Campus Meal Offerings

Our area is fortunate to have a large number of food vendors specializing in a diverse range of international cuisine. Heather Murray, head of University Food Services, announced that several mobile food vendors have been given permission to set up their trucks on Friday afternoons for lunch service in the parking lot outside Newman Hall. The food trucks will sell food representing a variety of international cuisines." We thought students would appreciate the added variety and the chance to try foods they wouldn't normally have access to, said Murray. She added," We'll start out by having them come as a special treat at lunchtime on Fridays, and then, depending on their popularity, consider possibly expanding the schedule."

Conversation: Woman agrees

Hyperpredation

Predator-prey relationships are normally kept in balance naturally; that is, if a predator species kills too many of its prey, then the predator's population will eventually decline because it now lacks sufficient prey to eat. The reduction in the predator population then allows the prey population to increase again, and the cycle continues. Sometimes, however, the normal predator-prey balance breaks down and predators become unusually abundant, which is known as hyperpredation. Hyperpredation usually occurs following the introduction of a second, alternative prey. This additional food source allows predator numbers to greatly increase and can even result in the extinction of the original, primary prey.

Lecture: Ecology(生态学)

例子: Macquarie island(麦夸里岛)

TASK 4

Lecture题材:Business(商业)

Reason 2:
