Children may not like learning science subjects at school because they find them challenging or difficult to understand. Some students might also lack interest in science due to the teaching methods or curriculum. Another reason might be that science lessons can be presented in a rather boring way – the heavy theory can be very off-putting to children. The more interactive and interesting the lessons are, the more likely children are to be inspired with science classes. 

Yes, children should be encouraged to learn science as it helps develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It also fosters creativity and a deeper understanding of the world around them. Children should be encouraged by schools having a good, solid science curriculum with well-equipped labs and the opportunity to actively and directly engage in experiments themselves. This can, indeed, be expensive for schools, but is one of the best ways of encouraging and engaging students in the scientific learning process.

Yes, lifelong learning in science should be promoted after graduation to keep individuals informed about scientific advancements and their applications in daily life. However, having said that, after graduation students often choose their own paths according to what they want to do in the future. However, as technology is important in the advancement of society, I think that there should be sponsorships and scholarships and other incentives to keep more people learning and wanting to study science after graduation and at master’s level. 

People typically get to know about scientific news through various sources such as news outlets, scientific journals, social media, and educational programs. With mobile phones today and ubiquitous internet access, people who are interested in science can very easily search for the latest science news and there are even apps dedicated to science and scientific discoveries which cover the latest debates about technological advancements and all sorts. So, it’s pretty easy today to access information about this kind of thing if you’re interested. 

Scientists should indeed explain the research process to the public to a point to increase transparency and trust. It helps demystify complex scientific concepts and allows the public to engage more actively in scientific discourse. Research today is also becoming more transparent and people have a lot more access to interesting scientific research explained in layman’s terms, too. So this is a good thing and brings more of the general public into the scientific discourse.
