That said, it varies by location - in big cities, malls are always packed, while in smaller towns, people might visit less often, maybe once or twice a month. I've noticed that since the pandemic, people are gradually returning to malls, though online shopping has definitely changed how frequently some people visit.

Shopping habits have transformed dramatically! The biggest shift is obviously online shopping - people now buy everything from groceries to furniture without leaving home. Convenience has become king. Consumers are also much more informed now, comparing prices and reading reviews before purchasing. Another interesting change is the rise of ethical shopping, with more people considering sustainability and working conditions. Payment methods have evolved too - from cash to cards to mobile payments. I remember when shopping meant physically visiting different stores to compare items, but now it's all at our fingertips. The experience has become faster but perhaps less social.

I don't think they'll disappear completely, but they'll definitely evolve. Physical stores will likely become more experience-focused rather than just places to buy things. We're already seeing this trend with stores offering workshops, events, and personalized services that you can't get online. Shopping malls might transform into entertainment centers with fewer traditional shops and more restaurants, cinemas, and activity spaces. Those that survive will be the ones offering something unique that online shopping can't replicate - the social aspect, the immediate gratification, or the sensory experience of seeing and touching products. It's about adaptation rather than extinction.

Street markets and malls offer completely different experiences. Markets have this vibrant, authentic atmosphere with the noise, smells, and personal interactions you don't get in malls. You can often haggle over prices at markets, which adds a fun element. The products tend to be more unique or locally made too. Shopping malls, on the other hand, offer comfort and convenience - air conditioning, clean restrooms, and everything under one roof. They're more predictable in terms of quality and pricing. I personally enjoy both for different reasons - markets for fresh food and discovering unique items, and malls when I need something specific or when the weather's bad.

Different generations definitely shop differently! Younger people, especially Gen Z, are incredibly comfortable with online shopping and mobile payments - they'll order something in seconds. They're also more influenced by social media trends and tend to value experiences over possessions. Older shoppers also tend to be more careful with money and less impulsive. It's fascinating to see how technology and different life priorities shape these shopping habits across generations.
