There are tons of benefits of living in cities, especially major cities. Cities usually have a higher standard of pretty much anything you can think of - from educational facilities, to leisure, sports, entertainment … everything really. Cities also attract the best talents, so if you are into a specific field, like playing music, dancing or anything really, you'll find the best talents in your industry in the major cities. This is not always the case, but mostly it's true. 

I haven't but my grandparents still do, and I visit them once or twice a year. It's nice to go there, escape from city life, enjoy the peace and quiet, see nature, animals, more down-to-earth locals. Life seems less complicated and somehow more “real” in some ways. Though after a couple of weeks, I'm totally bored and miss the city life!!!

In a city, for sure. I couldn't live in the countryside. Like I said, I'd be bored and I also think there are so few opportunities there, and also the facilities in country towns in China are way behind those of the city. I would have to choose city life – there's no real option for a person who is educated, ambitious and wants to live a more international lifestyle. Though the pressure is higher – well, that's life, you can't have everything. Every choice in life usually involves a sacrifice.

The countryside, for me, is good for a few things. Firstly, visiting my grandparents. Secondly, going on hikes and walks with family or friends. Thirdly, if you go down south, to the south of China, there are really cool whitewater rapids and waterfalls and tea plantations and all sorts of picturesque and interesting places to see or take a short holiday, in country locations. I've done all of these things over the years.
