STUDENT: My friend is in homestay ... and she really enjoys it ... so I'd like to join a family as well.

STUDENT: My name is Keiko Yuichini.

STUDENT: I'm Japanese.

学生：我是日本人。

OFFICER: Right and could I see your passport, please?

工作人员：好的，请出示一下您的护照。

STUDENT: Here it is ...

学生：好的……

OFFICER: Okay ... your passport number is JO 6337 ... And you're how old?

工作人员：好的……护照号码JO 6337……您今年多大了？

STUDENT: I'm twenty-eight years old.

学生：我28岁了。

OFFICER: Now, you live at one of the colleges ... which one?

工作人员：好的，您是住在哪个校区？

STUDENT: Willow College, umm ... Room 21C.

学生：我住在Willow学院，21C房间。

OFFICER: Right, 21C Willow College, and how long are you planning on staying with homestay?

STUDENT: About four months ... longer if I like it ...

学生：大概四个月吧……如果住得满意的话可以延期。

OFFICER: And what course are you enrolled in?

工作人员：您在学校注册了什么课程？

STUDENT: Well, I've enrolled for twenty weeks in the ... um ... Advanced English Studies because I need help with my writing ... and I'm nearly at the end of my first five-week course.

学生：这个，我读了一个20周的高级英语课程……因为我需要提高我的写作……我已经差不多读完5周的课了。

OFFICER: Okay ... Do you have any preference for a family with children or without children?

工作人员：好的……您希望寄宿在有孩子的家庭还是没有孩子的？

STUDENT: I prefer ... I mean I like young children, but I'd like to be with older people ... you know ... adults ... someone around my age.

学生：我想……其实我挺喜欢小孩子，但我更偏向和年龄大一些的人相处……就是……成年人……跟我差不多大的。

OFFICER: Okay, and what about pets?

工作人员：好的。那宠物呢？

STUDENT: I am a veterinarian so that's fine ... the more the better.

学生：我是一名兽医，所以没问题啊……越多越好。

OFFICER: All right, now what about you?

工作人员：好的。那你自己的情况呢？

Are you a vegetarian or do you have any special food requirements?

你有特别的饮食习惯吗，比如素食？

STUDENT: No, I am not a vegetarian ... but I don't eat a lot of meat ... I really like seafood.

学生：我不是素食主义者……不过我也不太吃肉……我比较喜欢吃海鲜。

OFFICER: And what are your hobbies?

工作人员：你的兴趣爱好有哪些呀？

STUDENT: I like reading and going to the movies.

学生：我爱读书，也喜欢看电影。

OFFICER: Do you play any sports?

工作人员：你做什么运动吗？

STUDENT: Yes, I joined the handball team, but I didn't like that.., so I stopped playing.

学生：是的，我加入了手球队，但其实我不喜欢……所以我现在已经不玩了。

Now I play tennis on the weekend with my friends ...
