　　I'd like to talk about a time when I organized a charity hiking event for my university club. I came up with this plan about two years ago during winter break when I was scrolling through social media and saw all these beautiful mountain trails nearby that I'd never explored.

　　I made the plan in January, sitting in our student union building with a few other club officers. We decided to organize a sponsored hike where participants would get friends and family to donate money based on the distance they completed. The funds would go to a local children's hospital.

　　The activity itself was pretty ambitious - we planned a day-long hiking event at Mountain Pine Park about 30 minutes from campus. We created different trail options ranging from 5 to 15 kilometers so people of all fitness levels could participate. We also arranged transportation, rest stops with refreshments, and even contacted local businesses to donate snacks and drinks.

　　Initially, I felt quite nervous about the plan because I'd never organized something for so many people before - we were hoping for around 50 participants but ended up with nearly 100! But I also felt incredibly excited and motivated. There's something special about bringing people together for a good cause.

　　As the day approached, my nervousness turned into a strange mix of stress and anticipation. When the actual day came and I saw everyone gathering in the morning light, ready to challenge themselves for charity, I felt this overwhelming sense of pride and community. Despite some minor hiccups with transportation, the event was a huge success. We raised much more money than expected, and people kept talking about it for months afterward. It taught me that with good planning and teamwork, bringing large groups together can create something truly meaningful.
