The city you live in

1.What city do you live in?

I live in Chengdu, which is in Sichuan province. It's an ancient city, well, originally, and its famous for its spicy food, and its wonderful climate. It's a very interesting and pleasant place to live.

2.Do you like this city? Why?

I like the people actually – I find them friendly and warm. I also like the climate – it's basically spring most of the year round, well.. sort of… it actually can get pretty hot in summer, but I like that too!

3.How long have you lived in this city?

I have lived in Chengdu almost all of my life, actually, except for a few years when I was a baby – I was not actually born in Chengdu, you see, I was actually born in Chongqing, but my parents moved to Chengdu when I was about 3 years old.

4.Are there any big changes in this city?

Like most cities in China, Chengdu has changed a lot since I was a child – it has developed significantly in terms of infrastructure, facilities and amenities, public transport and general modernization. However, it has maintained its traditional charm.

5.Is this city your permanent residence?

Yes, it is. I am working there as a marketing manager at the moment, and I'm lucky to be able to find and develop a stable career in my home city, actually. I'm very happy to live here for the foreseeable future.
