The flow chart shows how solar energy is used to pump water for a village. In general, three are three components: a solar panel, an underground bore with a water pump inside, and a tank for storing the water. The process utilizes the energy drawn from the sun to pump up water from underground, which is a simple and environment-friendly procedure.

The operation first involves setting up solar panels that face the sun and derive energy by using photovoltaic cells. This energy will then be transferred into DC electricity, in order to power the underground process. The current runs through the grid to generate a water pump which is suspended below the water level inside an underground bore that stores water in advance.

With the DC power, the water will then be pumped up from the underground well into an outlet pipe which runs the water into a tank on the ground nearby. Another set of pipe, set in the tank, will take the water to a village, where fresh water is provided to the residents.
