Father

这个单词，在牛津词典里一共有5个英文释义：

1、a male parent of a child or an animal; a person who is acting as the father to a child

父亲，主要强调的是血缘关系和家庭成员关系

2、fathers : a person's ancestors (= people who are related to you who lived in the past)

书面表达，当复数时还可表示你的祖先

3、father (of something)：the first man to introduce a new way of thinking about something or of doing something

其实"爸爸"的英文表达，除了"father" 和" dad"，还有几种可以称呼的方式：

Daddy

a name for father, which is used especially by young children or when you are talking to young children

Pop

American English (informal) (also pa old-fashioned) used when talking to your father, or about someone's father
