My favourite actress is Meryl Streep. She’s  elegant, educated, classy and diverse in her acting. She also has a great sense  of humour, at least she comes across that way in the films she is in. She is  now quite old, and very well-respected, too. I don’t really know what her  personality off-stage is, but I do know that she is a person with an amazing  ability to perform and perform a range of very different roles. I have always  been a big fan of movies and movie culture, and I believe that Meryl Streep is  one of the most famous actresses in cinema history. I believe that the last  movie I saw her in was Mama Mia, a musical about a woman who buys a run-down  hotel on a Greek island, and then she has a ’summer of love’when she has a daughter  with several different men, and the whole film is about finding out which is  the father of the daughter. It’s a funny movie about a risqué subject, done in  a hilarious and sometimes very moving manner, set in an exotic Mediterranean  location. I always admire actors and  actresses that are able to play very diverse roles. This is the main reason why  I like Meryl Streep. I also like actors that have a sense of poise and dignity,  even if they are playing crazy roles. So, all in all, I am attracted to more  elderly female British actresses, like Meryl Streep or Maggie Smith. You may  have seen Maggie Smith in Downton Abbey, which is quite famous in China – I  love that series. It’s absolutely gripping!
