　　[02:37.74JULIE: Thank you.

　　[02:38.77CARL: My name's Carl Rogers and l'm one of the doctors here at the Total Health Clinic.

　　[02:42.61So I understand this is your first visit to the clinic?

　　[02:45.16JULIE: Yes, it is.

　　[02:46.04CARL: OK, well I hope you'll be very happy with the service you receive here.

　　[02:50.34So if it's aright with you I'll take a few details to help me give you the best possible service.

　　[02:54.84JULIE: Sure.

　　[02:56.43CARL: So can I check first of all that we have the correct personal details for you?

　　[03:04.15JULIE: That's correct.

　　[03:05.52CARL: Perfect.

　　[03:43.27CARL: Oh I know them, yeah, they're down on 114th Street, aren't they?

　　[03:47.34JULIE: That's right.

　　[03:48.37CARL: Yeah, I’ve been there a few times.

　　[03:50.13I just love their salads.

　　[03:51.50JULIE: That's good to hear.

　　[03:53.48CARL: Right, so one more thing I need to know before we talk about why you're here, Julie, and that's the name of your insurance company.

　　[03:59.70JULIE: It's Cawley Life Insurance, that's C-A-W-L-E-Y.

　　[04:05.67CARL: Excellent, thank you so much.

　　[04:54.95CARL: Now Julie, let's look at how we can help you.

　　[04:57.65So tell me a little about what brought you here today.

　　[05:00.22JULIE: Well, I've been getting a pain in my knee, the left one.

　　[05:04.40Not very serious at first, but it's gotten worse, so I thought I ought to see someone about it.

　　[05:10.44CARL: That's certainly the right decision.

　　[05:12.16So how long have you been aware of this pain?

　　[05:14.31Is it just a few days, or is it longer than that?

　　[05:17.26JULIE: Longer.

　　[05:18.71It's been worse for the last couple of days, but it's three weeks since I first noticed it.

　　[05:24.73It came on quite gradually though, so I kind of ignored it at first.

　　[05:28.94CARL: And have you taken any medication yourself, or treated it in anyway?

　　[05:32.72JULIE: Yeah, I’ve been taking medication to deal with the pain, Tylenol, and that works OK for a few hours.

　　[05:40.00But I don't like to keep taking it.

　　[05:42.27CARL: OK.

　　[05:42.99And what about heat treatment?

　　[05:44.57Have you tried applying heat at all?

　　[05:46.34JULIE: No, but I have been using ice on it for the last few days.

　　[05:50.70CARL: And does that seem to help the pain at all?

　　[05:52.83JULIE: A little, yes.

　　[05:54.19CARL: Good.

　　[05:54.97Now you look as if you're quite fit normally?

　　[05:57.18JULIE: I am, yes.

　　[05:58.31CARL: So do you do any sport on a regular basis?

　　[06:00.73JULIE: Yes, I play a lot of tennis.

　　[06:02.64I belong to a club so I go there a lot.

　　[06:05.73I'm quite competitive so I enjoy that side of it as well as the exercise.

　　[06:10.21But I haven't gone since this started.

　　[06:12.48CARL: Sure.

　　[06:13.26And do you do any other types of exercise?

　　[06:15.06JULIE: Yeah, I sometimes do a little swimming, but usually just when I'm on vacation.

　　[06:20.73But normally I go running a few times a week, maybe three or four times.

　　[06:25.03CARL: Hmm.

　　[06:25.77So your legs are getting quite a pounding.

　　[06:27.92But you haven't had any problems up to now?

　　[06:30.55JULIE: No, not with my legs.

　　[06:32.26I did have an accident last year when I slipped and hurt my shoulder, but that's better now.

　　[06:37.38CARL: Excellent.

　　[06:38.27And do you have any allergies?

　　[06:39.88JULIE: No, none that I'm aware of.

　　[06:41.89CARL: And do you take any medication on a regular basis?

　　[06:44.98JULIE: Well, I take vitamins but that's all I'm generally very healthy.
