　　如果非要说一个我不想做的工作，那一定是“餐厅的服务员”，因为对我而言这份工作的要求太高了。首先工作时间得整天在柜台前站着不能坐;并且饭点正好是餐厅最忙的时候，餐厅服务员吃饭不规律甚至直接忙到没时间吃饭，对身体无益;最后，遇到一些挑剔或语言不通的客人，我也不能保持耐心。所以我觉得这是我最不想做的工作。

　　A job that I never want to do is waitress in restaurants. Don’t take it wrong--I have nothing against this job, because it’s just another line of work(行业). But I think it’s a highly-demanding(高要求)job for me. Being a waiter or waitress means that you have to stand before the counter all day long. I don’t mean to be a white-collar worker, being stuck in a small cubical and sitting there the whole day, but standing at least 8 hours a day would be more of a disaster! Also, waiters and waitresses easily suffer from stomach disease. Because time for meal would be the busiest hour in a restaurant, which means you have to finish your meal in a hurry or grab something for eat 2 or 3 hours later, sometimes even skip a meal. Anyway, it does no good to your health. Waiters and waitress, basically, are patient and wearing smiles on their faces. But I couldn’t always be patient especially in certain cases. You know, some customers could be very picky(挑剔), or may have so many special requirements for their food; some customers may speak with a strong accent, or just speak in dialects(方言), making communication difficult. For example, a few weeks ago, I went to a restaurant near my place. So, I was lining up(排队) behind a foreigner who seemed to be having a hard time getting what he wanted with his broken Chinese. Most of what he wanted were not on the menu hanging above the counter. He also had many special requirements, including no cheese in his cheeseburger, not Coke but orange juice in the combo(套餐), and an extra medium-sized French fries in addition to the combo. The waiter was all confused at that moment. When everyone else lining behind became impatient, the waiter was still trying to get it by listening again and again to the foreigner ‘s broken(断断续续的)Chinese.
