　　刚开始工作，发现自己的专业技能不够过硬，所以决定考一个含金量高的资格证。在上课的那段时间，每天要完成大量的作业，也没有时间购物。每天都很困，要喝好几杯咖啡提神。但最终努力没有白费，学到了很多的东西。

　　Well, I’d like to talk about a goal that I set and finally achieved. When I first started teaching, I did not have a lot of professional teaching skills since I majored in English literature and had no relevant working experience. I thought I would pick it up along the way, but after about one year in this field, I realized I needed to make some changes if I wanted to be able to progress in my career. That is when I decided to pursue a certificate of CELTA, Cambridge Certificate in English Teaching to Adults, which is quite authoritative. The certification only took about one month but the applicants had to take the intensive courses from Monday to Friday and all kinds of homework awaited us including 3 written papers and 8-hour real-life teaching and things like that. Every day I was overwhelmed with the tons of tasks and couldn’t go to bed until midnight. You know, I’m a dedicated lover of shopping but back to that time I didn’t buy myself anything but some household necessities purchased online. and the biggest problem was that I felt quite drowsy at daytime coz I didn’t have enough sleep. So I grabbed about 3 cups of coffee to refresh myself. Anyway, with the great efforts I made, I was able to get the certificate. And most importantly, I acquired many practical skills in teaching which will be beneficial for my career development.
