　　1.What do you usually do during a break?

　　The first thing I do is pick up my phone and check if I’ve missed any messages. In order not to distract me, I always put my phone on silent before I start my business, so I’ve got to check it afterwards. Then, jumping into bed and closing my eyes would be the next thing I would do,because I can fully relax.

　　2.How often do you take a break?

　　For me, I usually work or study for forty minutes and then take a twenty-minute break. I think forty minutes is about my attention span and that break can keep me energetic. Also, there’s some scientific data showing that human brains may start to lose concentration after focusing for half an hour, so I think my decision is appropriate.

　　3.Do you prefer a long break or several short breaks?

　　Actually, I think a long break would be my preference. Personally speaking, I cannot get focused immediately. I mean, it takes me a few minutes to really get down to my business, so if the breaks are too frequent, the chances are, before I really concentrate again, it’s time to take another rest! So a long break at the end might be more ideal.

　　4.Why do you need to take a break?

　　Well, I guess taking a rest is the best way to maintain our efficiency. Keeping concentrated for a long period of time can be extremely exhausting and I become really impatient if I work or study for hours without breaks. At that point, even a small distraction can take my concentration away, so having a bit of rest can restore my energy and help me stay focused later on.
