  范文:

  两年前,我一直不把健康问题当回事,不爱锻炼并且经常熬夜,直到去年年底,因为经常熬夜,我生了一场大病,医生说如果不改变作息,很容易导致一些更加严重的病情。我觉得这为日常的生活敲响了警钟。开始注重自己的身体健康,开始坚持跑步,我觉得这是一个非常明智的选择。

  There was a big change in terms of my attitude towards exercise. I didn’t have the habit toexercise for a long time. Before college, we had to do radio broadcast exercises(广播体操) everymorning and had at least two PE classes per week. But after I went to college, there was nobodysupervising us, and I’m also too lazy to go out to exercise. Besides, I developed a bad habit ofstaying up late and was often awake until 2-3 o’clock. However, I never thought I would have ahealth problem until the end of last year. I had a really bad illness and it took me nearly two weeksto cure. A doctor told me it was partially caused by irregular work and rest routine(不规律作息), andit may lead to more serious illness if I don’t change it. That experience sounded the alarm(敲响警钟) on my unhealthy daily life and prompted me to pay attention to health and to exercise regularly.This was a very wise decision because I found that doing exercise positively changed my life inseveral aspects. Firstly, it indeed made me much healthier by increasing my body resistance(增强抵抗力), and my frequency of illness reduced. Secondly, I found doing exercise is a great way torelease pressure(释放压力). Every time I exercise, annoyance disappears. The last one is that I’mgetting prettier thanks to exercising. I think it is because doing exercises helps boostmetabolism(促进新陈代谢), and makes my skin smoother.
