　　情态助动词

　　You already know that auxiliary verbs help to form the various tenses, moods, and voices of verbs.

　　助动词可以帮助构成不同的时态、语境和语态。

　　The modal auxiliary verbs are auxiliary verbs that specifically affect the mood of the verb. Remember that verb mood is about the attitude in which the action or state is expressed-as a statement of fact or opinion, as a wish, as a possibility, or as a command.

　　情态助动词是可以影响动词式的助动词。动词的式表述的是对行为或状态的一种态度，作为事实或观点的陈述，一种愿望、可能性或命令。

　　情态助动词列表：

　　can will shall may could would should might must

　　The modal auxiliary verbs are never used as a main verb. In addition, they do not have the five forms that main verbs have. While other auxiliary verbs (be and have) can be used as a main verb and have the five forms, these modal auxiliary verbs do not.

　　情态助动词不能用作主动词，也没有主动词拥有的五种形式。其他助动词(be 和have)可用作主动词，也有五种形式。

　　情态助动词的例句：

　　1) I can run a mile in 8 minutes.

　　1)我可以在8分钟内跑一英里。(表述一个事实或可能性)

　　2) You must clean your plate before you have dessert.

　　2)吃甜点前，必须先把盘子洗干净。(表达一个命令)

　　3) I might go to the park after school today.

　　3)今天放学后我可能去公园。(表述一种可能性)

　　4) It would be nice if a rainbow appeared.

　　4)如果出现彩虹就好了。(表达一种愿望)

　　5) Do you think it will rain today?
