The purpose of these skyscrapers is changing. It used to be only offices that towered over London, now the world’s wealthy are flocking to live in giant penthouses hundreds of meters above the streets. Here I’ve been asking tourists and Londoners if they feel the new buildings are enriching or spoiling this great city.

Woman 1: I love the modern skyline and it’sone of my favorite outlines. But I don’t like the buildings too close to the old and very precious buildings that London has to offer, just like St.Paul’s.

Woman 2: I think you can argue sometimes that there’re too much but then we’re in the midst of a city and there’s always gonna be change and development and you can’t really stop it, to be honest. But if it was my choice, I wouldn’t have as many.

Man: There’s probably not enough. With real estate prices as high as they are, we probably need as much as possible of office space and living space as well, so we probably need more rather than less.
