To demonstrate, enthusiasm for sports in general, whether individual or team-based, can teach children how to be sportsmanlike in competitive circumstances, including playing by the rules and being gracious(得体的)in either victory or defeat. A final reason for promoting enthusiasm for sports in children is to enhance their sense of national pride. A case in point is that children who develop a stronger sense of national pride will be more willing to serve society and look after their country when they grow up to be adults.
