一、教学目标:
1、1技能目标:1、基本能听懂、会说、会读、会认词汇:popmusic,Chinese music,erhu,zither,guitar,drums ;
2 基本能听懂、会说、会读、会认句型:I think … is better/worse than … .
1、2技能目标:能进行评价和比较。
1、3情感目标:激发学习英语的兴趣,乐于参与各种实践活动; 培养良好的自信心,敢于用英语表达自己的看法。
二、教学重、难点:
1、 词汇:popmusic,Chinese music,erhu,zither,guitar,drums
2、句型:I think … is better/worse than … .
三、教学用具:磁带、录音机、单词卡 、挂图等。
Teaching steps:
Step1: Warmer
1: Greetings
T: Hello, children.
Ss: Hello, Miss Yi.
T: How are you today?
Ss: I’m fine. Thank you. And how about you?
T: I’m fine, too. Thanks a lot. Look! How is the weather today?
Ss: It’s cloudy.
T: What day is today?
Ss: Today is Thursday.
T: What day is tomorrow?
Ss: Tomorrow is Friday.
2、T: Boys and girls,let’s sing a song first.Now ,open your books and page 25.Let’s sing“I’m the music man.”Follow the tape.(放录音,学生跟唱)
3、请个别学生汇报上节课的调查结果。
Step2: Presentation
1、T:Now ,children.Let’s listen to some music.(出示二胡的演奏) 请同学们听完后告诉我那是什么乐器演奏的。Who can tell me?
S1: 二胡。
T: Yes, you are right. It’s erhu.
(出示单词卡play the erhu,表演拉二胡的动作,领读。)
2、T:Now let’s continue our listening.(出示古筝的演奏)
Who can tell me?
S2: 古筝。
T: Great. It’s zither.
(出示单词卡play the zither,表演拉古筝的动作,领读。)
3、T: Look! What’s this?
S3: 吉他。
T: Good! It’s guitar.
(出示单词卡play the guitar,表演拉吉他的动作,领读。)
3、T: Boys and girls, let’s see another picture. What’s that?
S4: 鼓。
T: Right! It’s drum.
(出示单词卡play the drums,表演鼓的动作,领读。)
4、T:Please listen to music again. Do you like this kind of music? Do you know what it is?
S5: I like this kind of music. It’s pop music.
S6: It’s Chinese music.
(向学生介绍一些与音乐相关的背景知识,例如:“pop music” 中的 “pop”是 “popular” 的缩写。意思是“流行的”; “ Chinese music” 在这里指的是“ Chinese traditional music”,演奏这类音乐常用的乐器有二胡、古筝等;“jazz music” 是爵士乐,发源于美国南部,节奏感强,含有大量即兴成分。)
T: Now look at the blackboard,大家仔细看看这些表达弹奏乐器的词组,你能发现什么?
S7: 在乐器的前面都有“the”.
T:是的,在乐器的前面都有“the”所以大家要记住凡是说弹奏某种乐器时要在乐器前加“the”.Now,let’s read these words again.(领读黑板上的词组)
Step3:讲解课文
T:We all like music. Daming,Lingling,Sam,Amy like music ,too.Open your books and page 24.Look at your books and listen to the tape and answer three questions

Ss: They like Chinese music.
T: What instrument can they play?
S8: Daming and Lingling can play the erhu.
T: And who is better?
S9: Lingling is better than Daming.
T: Yes. Lingling is better than Daming. Today we’re going to learn Unit2 Lingling is better than Daming. (板书)

S10: Daming and Lingling can play the zither.
T: Who is worse?
S11: Lingling is worse than Daming.(板书)

T: What kind of music do Sam and Amy like?
Ss: They like pop music.
S12: Sam and Amy can play the guitar.
T: Who is worse?
S13: Amy is worse than Sam.

T: What else can they play?
S14: Sam and Amy can play the drums.
T: Who is better?
S15: Amy is better than Sam.
Step4: Practice
1、Game.
T: Boys and girls,let play a game ,ok?
Ss: OK!
the animals’ voice: This …is better./This …is worse .
(cat/dog/bird/lion)
T: I need two students come to the front.(两位学生模仿狮子叫)
Who is worse.
Sa: This lion is worse.
T: (再请两位学生模仿狗叫)Who is better?
Sb: This dog is better.
2、“我与明星比一比 ”—请学生收集自己最喜欢的(体育或娱乐)明星的图片,给图片配文并向组员或全班进行讲述。
Sc: This is… He/She can play table tennis. I can play table tennis,t oo. But he/she is better than me . I am worse than him/her.
Step5: Production—“ 我喜欢的乐器”调查表
A: what music do you like?
B: I like pop music . I can play the guitar.
