　　Then he rubbed the smelly corner all around his sand box ，buried it in the garden， and dug it up again.

　　阿文把小毯子放进沙堆里搓一搓，又把它埋在花园里，然后挖出来，闻一闻

　　“Good as new，” said Owen.

　　阿文说：“嗯……好一点儿了。”

　　Fuzzy wasn’t very fuzzy any more. But Owen didn’t mind.

　　虽然小毯子还有一些怪味道，但是，阿文一点也不在乎。

　　He carried it .And Wore it. And dragged it.

　　每天带着它，披着它，抱着它……

　　He sucked it. And hugged it. And twisted it.

　　每天吸着它，抱着它，扭着它……

　　“What are we going to do？” asked Owens’s mother. “School is starting soon，” said Owens’s father.

　　“快开学了，怎么办呢？”阿文的爸爸妈妈担心地问。

　　“Can’t bring a blanket to school，” said Mrs. Tweezers. “Haven’t you heard of saying no？”

　　隔壁的阿姨说：“不可以让阿文带着小毯子上学，你们有没有试过直接告诉他不行？”

　　Owens’s parents hadn’t.

　　阿文的爸爸妈妈摇摇头。

　　Mrs. Tweezers filled them in.

　　“来，我教你们怎么做。”

　　“I have to bring Fuzzy to school，” said Owen.

　　阿文说：“我要带小毯子上学。”

　　“No.” said Owens’s mother.

　　“不行！”妈妈说。

　　“No.” said Owens’s father.

　　“不行！”爸爸说得更大声。

　　Owen buried his face in Fuzzy. He started to cry and would not stop.

　　阿文听了，用小毯子遮住脸，伤心地哭个不停……

　　“Don’t worry，” said Owens’s mother.

　　妈妈说：“乖，不要哭。”

　　“It’ll be all right” said Owens’s father.

　　爸爸说：“我们再想想看。”

　　And then suddenly Owens’s mother said， “ I have an idea！”

　　忽然，妈妈大叫：“哎呀！想出办法了！”

　　It was an absolutely wonderful， positively perfect， especially terrific idea.

　　这的确是一个很好的办法。

　　First she snipped. And then she sewed. Then she snipped again and sewed some more. Snip， snip， snip. Sew， sew， sew.

　　妈妈把小毯子剪成一块、一块的，再用缝纫机把它们的四个边儿车起来，妈妈把小毯子做成了许多条小手绢儿。

　　“Dry your eyes.” “Wipe your nose.” Horray， hooray， hooray！

　　手绢做好了，妈妈教阿文念：“小手绢儿，一大堆，擦擦眼泪，擦擦嘴。”阿文高兴地说：“万岁、万岁、万万岁！”

　　Now Owen carries one of his not/so/fuzzy handkerchiefs with him where he goes.

　　现在，不管阿文走到哪里，身上都带着一条小手绢儿。

　　And Mrs. Tweezers doesn’t say anything.

　　隔壁的阿姨也不再多话了。
