　　Why do you choose our school to further your study?

　　当被问到为什么选择该学校/专业时，要积极的、正面答案来回答。最好不要回答“因为原来的学校不好/专业不好”“考不到更好的学校”等。可以说个人对报考专业的兴趣、报考院校专业能力较强等。

　　范例：

　　I have been deeply impressed by the academic atmosphere here. As one of the famous university in this field, your university has a good reputation in XX(专业优势或院校特点) I think my potential in this field can be tapped under the guidance of your distinguished professors.

　　考研复试常见问题二、

　　What are your strengths and weaknesses?

　　表述优缺点时，要注意优点不要过分夸大，且对报考专业有辅助作用。而缺点最好不要说“我的缺点是太追求完美了”这种套话，因为这会让导师觉得你不是很诚实。当然，也不能是“硬伤”，说完缺点注意要有改进措施。

　　谈到缺点时范例：

　　As for weakness, tardiness sometimes is my problem. Sometimes, I spend more time than necessary on a task or take on tasks personally. I’m already aware of that. In the future I will make a schedule and stick to it.

　　Is there anything you want to say about your university?

　　关于本科院校的问题也比较常见，同学们可以介绍院校的基本情况或自己所学专业情况，但要注意不要贬低自己的学校。

　　范例：

　　My undergraduate school boats many famous professors and excellent facilities. My school is known for its literature, and I am proud of majoring in it. Four years’ study there made me an optimistic and interdependent girl. I am very grateful for the experience in my university.
