10月28日上午10时08分，一辆公交客车在重庆市万州区长江二桥坠入江中，救援工作正紧张有序进行。

初步调查显示，28日10时10分许，重庆万州区一辆22路公交车行至万州区长江二桥时，突然越过中心实线(crossed the solid center line)，闯入对向车道，与一辆正常行驶的小轿车(collided with an oncoming car)相撞后冲破护栏坠入长江(broke through the guardrail and plunged into the Yangtze River)。
