Part A
(一)题材：今年的四选一的四篇文章讲述的话题都是大家比较熟悉的，第一篇是鼓励失业人员积极找工作，而不是靠政府的救济;第二篇又是最近几年每年出现的法律学类文章，讲述美国法律界的一些问题及解决方法;第三篇是讲述基础物理学奖和诺贝尔奖的区别;第四篇讲述美国人文学科教学。总体而言，今年四篇文章都是比较容易理解接受的，并没有出现像2013年第四篇讲述的亚利桑那州移民法案，2012年第四篇美国工会这类考生不熟悉的话题，相信考生在理解上不会产生太大的障碍。
(二)结构：今年四篇文章的论证方法主要还是例证，对比和因果三大类，相信在新东方的课堂上我们都详细阐述过。
例如今年第三篇文章就是一个典型的对比类文章，文章一开头就出现了“Fundamental Physics Prize”和“Nobel Prizes”两种不同的奖项，考生就应该要掌握什么是基础物理奖?什么是诺贝尔奖?作者对这两个奖项又持什么观点和态度?只要读清楚这三个关键内容，文章就非常简单了。而针对该类型的文章考点一定就是核心概念的定义以及作者的观点态度，如本篇最后的34和35题。

(三)题型：最近两年细节题明显增加，体现考研的特点就是对于精读的考察，要求考生必须精确理解每句话，每个词，甚至是标点符号。今年也不例外，20题当中细节题占了13题，重点考察的还是因果关系(23，26，27，28，29)，核心概念定义(31，34，35)等。考生在今后的复习过程中应该加强精读，而非泛读。
