兵马俑(terra-cotta warriors and horses)即制成兵马形状的殉葬品(sacrificial objects)。兵马俑坑是秦始皇陵的陪葬坑(pit)，其面积有50多个篮球场那么大。一个有趣的发现是:几乎我们每个中国人的容貌都能在古老的兵马俑中找到“模子”。有人曾这样描述兵马俑，“世界上有七大奇迹，兵马俑的发现可以说是第八大奇迹。不看兵马俑，不能算来过中国。”秦始皇兵马俑博物馆是中国最大的古代军事博物馆。秦始皇兵马俑是世界考古史上最伟大的发现之一。
1.其面积有50多个篮球场那么大:本句用定语从句翻译，即the size of which is equal to 50 basketball courts。其中which指代“兵马俑坑 ”，is equal to 意为“等于，相当于”。
2.—个有趣的发现是:可译为It is interesting that…，真正的主语是由that引导的从句。
3.找到“模子”:可译为find for his/her face acorresponding “mould”，即“找到和自己的脸相对应的模子。”
