教育背景
1982年毕业于陕西理工学院,1988年在河北师范大学获硕士学位,1992年在中国科学院福建物质结构研究所物理化学专业获博士学位，并于1993年破格晋升为副研究员;1994-1997年在德国西根大学和美国俄亥俄州立大学化学系从事博士后研究;1997-2001在美国俄亥俄州立大学担任研究科学家(Research Scientist);2001年取得美国西北太平洋国家实验室终身职位，担任高级研究科学家I (Senior Research Scientist I), 并于2004年晋升为高级研究科学家II (Senior Research Scientist II)。2004年入选清华大学“百名人才引进计划”，获聘为教授和博士生导师,并受聘为教育部长江学者特聘教授;2005年获国家杰出青年科学基金资助; 2010年获选为美国科学促进会会士(AAAS Fellow)。长期从事计算化学、量子化学、理论无机化学、重元素化学和计算材料化学等领域的研究工作。
