1986年7月毕业于天津大学获高分子化工专业学士学位，1988年6月在法国约瑟夫傅立叶大学获硕士学位，1991年11 月在法国格勒诺布尔国立理工学院获博士学位，1992年6月-1993年9月，1996年10月-1999年12月在英国东英格利亚大学做博士后研究工作， 2000.1-2001.12在清华大学做博士后研究，2002年1月起在清华大学高分子所任教。
研究领域：
材料化学：主要研究无机纳米粉体表面的功能化改性、聚合物/无机粉体包覆型纳米球的制备及应用。
树枝状高分子：涉及有机和无机核两类树枝状高分子的合成及应用研究。
复合材料：研究聚合物基复合材料、纳米复合等。
